Pay off my debts, pay off my parents debt, pay off my brother’s debts, propose to my girlfriend, have a big arse wedding, build a 6 bedroom house with a pool and a badass at home gym, open my own business and buy a brand new vehicle of my choice. Save and invest the rest.
Ummmmm, you realize that’s 384 MILLION, right?

Well, let's see if I, as a Government auditor, can out-bore everybody else.
1. I have not yet begun taking the CPA exam. Not sure if I would bother to do it if I won. I'd have to continue working to get the experience requirement out of the way, plus all that studying.
2. I would NOT take the lump sum--I'd rather have the 30 year annuity. It's not about getting the absolutely most dollars (surely, I'd have enough), but rather not screwing up. Plus, it would allow me to say, with a straight face, "I'm sorry, I can't afford it, I didn't take the lump sum."
Also, I'm a DC resident, which means I'd be taxed 8.5% just for District taxes if I took it as a lump sum. Hell no. I'll move to Tennessee before the second payment, thank you.
3. Hire a tax partner (both an attorney and a CPA, most likely) in DC from a national firm. Then hire an annuity advisor as well, someone who has experience dealing with people who have annuities or trusts as big as mine (not many, obviously). Decide how I want to bless my family and a few friends, using trusts, NEVER by giving cash or directly paying off debt. Would also need a new will--only that wouldn't incentivize anyone to kill me for my money.
4. Mississippi State would have an incredible new music building and every Steinway piano they can fit on campus.
5. My other university would also be blessed.
6. Both of my churches would say hallelujah.
7. My expensive interest is in aviation. So many fun airplanes to buy and hopefully not kill myself in. Lots of time and money for excellent training, of course. Would love to eventually work myself up to something like a Grumman Albatross amphibian. Maybe fly it around the world once.
8. And finally, really focus on my health. I want to enjoy my 30+ years of wealth (I'm in my early 30s now) and not be limited by preventable conditions like high blood pressure leading to a stroke or Type 2 diabetes from eating too much good food and not moving enough.
9. I'd also pray to God to be responsible for this windfall and not screw it up.
10. One last, boring thing: My hometown in Alabama has a major rail line that runs right through the middle of it. Only a few crossings have gates. I'd see what I could do to work with CSX and build more gates--both for safety and to decrease the number of times they'd have to blow their horns. Then I could buy a home in one of the historic districts near the tracks but not have to hear trains all the time (up to 25 a day in the summer, apparently).

I would also give 20-30 million to my two son's school and name a building or sports field after them.

Give me a place on the water, probably in Florida or South Carolina, and another in Uptown Dallas. ($2mill + $3-$4 mill)
Mclaren 720s, and a Lexus LFA (best sounding car I’ve ever witnessed in person) and either a 4 Runner TRD pro or a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk as my daily vehicles that aren’t as flashy. ($800k)
Anyone that immediately ‘gives away’ money to churches or charities or tons of family is setting themselves up for failure. Hold that nest egg tight, and you can be more ‘generous’ with the interest over a long period than blowing it from the get go

I'd party my arse off for a full year. I'd pick 26 friends, pay their way for a 2 week trip to a destination of their choosing.
Figure 25k for each trip..25k x 26 is a little over 500k for the full year.
No worries.

Although I rarely play, went ahead and picked up the winning ticket last night. With 30 $9,000,000 payments I’m getting:
1. Denali Duramax with 5th wheel hitch for the campers I’m yet to own
2. Callaway apex pros & Bertha alpha for my unhealthy golf habit
3. House on the bayou
4. As many Chic Fil As as humanly possible

I would go into a steak restaurant by myself and order a good meal. When it came time to pay the bill I'd tell my waitress I'll pay for everyone's bill + tips. I'd do this discretely.
