I come from a large family on my dad's side. But out of all of my cousins, there are only 2 boys that carry the family name. My cousin is still single and I have a son. Every once in a while it hits me that my son is currently the only one that will carry on this branch of the family name. And there are a ton of cousins on that side of the family. Dad just had more sisters than brothers.

Not accurate. My wife has only given birth to son, yet we also have a daughter.
