First off, thankfully the kid is safe.
A 36 year old step-grandfather. I am 36 years old. The kid is 2. So this man had to be 34 years old when the kid was born.
If we just split the math, this guy had a kid at 17, who had a kid at 17.
Since he is a step-grandfather, maybe he married a MILF.
Still though. Seems young to be called Grandpa.

You're immature for your age.

Not all that odd. I'm 35 and my step mother is 48. If I would have had a kid at 20 she would have beenn a step grandmother at 33 or 34. My dad is 62.

It's not trashy at all. I have a step uncle who is 6 months younger than me. He hates when I call him uncle Joe at family get togethers

My 8 year old daughter has an 8 year old friend who is an aunt.
I guess these are more common than I realize but at 1 am it still blows my mind.

I just finished reading that article in Nola.com. I was like wtf. How can the cops get a vehicle description without a positive ID on the owner?

Fantasia of American Idol fame just became a step-grandmother at 32, so I guess it happens. Side note, her husband is 36 and the kid is 15. Mazel. LINK

I have a friend that became a grandpa at 37. Knocked up a girl when he was 18 and his son knocked his gf at 19.
I had my first kid at 39. His grandkids is 2 years older than my oldest child.

You do realize who you're talking about right? Does that surprise you in the least bit?

I remember reading about some woman who was a great-grandmother by her mid-forties. She had a daughter at 15, who in turn had a daughter 14 years later, who then had a child at 15.

Of course there's a neck tat. There's always a neck tat.
Can anyone make out what it says?

He was 18 when my father was born and my father was 19 when i was born.

He wouldn't have to have had a kid at any age to be the step-granddad

I was once sitting in a bar in Fayetteville, and a woman in her mid 40s through early 50s was sitting right next to me clearly mourning. I ask her what is wrong, and she said her grandmother passed away last week. Having lost mine as well a few months before, I said well at least she lived to be a ripe old age. She replied not really since she was 65 when she died.
And this woman clearly wasn't in her prime either, so I have to ask how was that possible. Said her grandmother had her mother when she was 12 and that her mother had her when she was 13. I had a few in me at that point and said "Well that's fricked up". And she gets all pissed saying that's just how people used to do it, and I respond, "Yeah, in the days of Eric the Red." She starts dog cussing like a hillbilly after that, and didn't say another word to her.

I actually have a family friend in her late 30's whose husband's kid from a previous relationship recently had a child. While uncommon in the US, biologically it really isn't that strange I suppose.

The upside to them having me so young was that I was able to spend time with three sets of great grand parents. Have many good memories with my father and grandfather. Sadly i am 36 and have lost both my grandfather and father but if they hadn't "messed up" and had kids young i would not have had the time i did.

Well if they hadn't you wouldn't be you in the first place.
