Got a pothole that makes you mad on the way to work?
Street light out by your house?
Someone illegally dumping crap?

Get the 311 app for EBR and get shite done!

I’ve already had 3 potholes filled, a street lamp fixed, and traffic sign installed.

Do it! You are paying taxes. Might as well make em work for it. Tons of things you can report/ask for.

I’ve used it a few times for a damaged garbage can, they seem to respond pretty quickly

We use it sometimes. Most of the small stuff gets fixed pretty quickly, but not so much on the big stuff like road repairs. Overall it’s a useful tool.

That's actually pretty impressive. Must be an election year.

I actually saw them filling one of the potholes and I stopped. The foreman said they can do 30 a day if they get reported.

Find your city council person and email them. That’s what helped me.

The contract changed recently so unless it’s a very small pile that is bundled, the city isn’t responsible for pickup any longer.

Talked to a driver and they will pick up piles but not all at once. It may be a few times bf they can pick it all up but the better it’s bundled, the faster the pick up.

If you report it as missed hand pile pickup they’ll get it pretty quickly

Definitely snap a picture and attach it

Since the contract change, I essentially pile branches with an eye towards making it as easy as possible to run them through the chipper truck. All branches going the same direction, nothing mixed in, etc. I even lay them in the direction that I know will have the base of the branches facing the back of the truck when it parks. I haven’t had any trouble getting them picked up, even in relatively large unbound piles.

But I imagine if they pull up on something that looks like a disaster, they will be a bit harsher in applying the letter of the rule.

I call 311 a couple of times a year. It’s the best thing the parish has ever done. However, it’s very hard to actually get transferred to someone in charge of a department you’re having an issue with. You call them and they are just the middle man, you can’t ever get to the source.
