Pretty easy to avoid. Don't swim and go in the ocean.
Don’t be a wimp. You can still swim; you just have to be smart about it. I have a baby seal costume I wear in the water so sharks can’t tell I’m a human.
Stay on shore, sissy boy!

Not 9’ Bull Sharks inside the first sandbar like was supposedly involved here.
Wrong.
Those motherfrickers are everywhere.
You just don’t see them or know they’re there. But they are.

They come to this area if the panhandle to breed every year in June. We are stacked up with bulls right now.

You can find Bull Sharks way up in the rivers.

Yea. frick all that. Those looked to have some size also. The video from last year that freaked me out was the huge hammerhead chasing the stingray in about 2 foot of water all around people.

They have just as many in Gulf Shores, you just can’t see them.

Heard a report it was a bull shark.

There are technically sharks in Destin, Florida. However, the sharks in the area aren’t usually the ferocious killing machines we picture when we think of a shark in the movies.
There are a lot of bulls and tigers in the area. I used to live there, sometimes you see them a lot sometimes you don’t. But they’re always there

I say the beach is great… I’ll just look at the water.

without fully understanding the ramifications to the ecosystem, I am all for the near elimination of any gator over 6ft. Let some big dudes grow in the protected swamps but dangerous gators in every water hole sucks.
Trappers would go after any large gator reported. They got good money for the hides among other things. That kept the count of dangerous monsters down.

That makes 3 of us. I will be on Grand Cayman starting July 4th.

Siap, but my partner wondered if the victims were menstruating. All seem to be premenopausal women, so certainly a possibility.
