According to the video I posted earlier, FBI found materials on the shooter and in his car that suggest terrorism.

If tweet fails to load, click here. The strategic part of it would be Buford’s (and basically every Austin bar) closes at 2, so people would generally be forced to exit at that time.
Truly an awful situation. Buford’s tends a mix of all races, but it’s nice enough that it’s the Bama bar on gamedays. Definitely one of the bars that people aren’t generally worried about going to.

Yea I lived in Austin for 3 years during school. Buford’s was the only bar we went to on W 6th. The rest of 6th was trash. It’s kinda split in half with an open air patio up front by the road, and then you walk through a hall to the back part which is a two story “club”. From the video on X, he shot people on the front patio while driving then exited and shot people in the street/sidewalk. Absolutely terrible.

Mothership is in a kind of shite area.
The few times I’ve been there they had private security and local police patrolling to keep the riff raff moving along. It’s so damn annoying trying to walk about town and having bums come up spewing some bullshite sob story looking for some money out of you.

well it sounds like there were 14 casualties as casualties means killed/missing/wounded/incapacitated.
Casualties doesn't mean fatalities. It includes them.

it says 3 others are in critical condition, so potentially 5 casualties plus the gunman but there’s no identity yet or social media videos or accounts from the crime scene six hours later?
the lack of details on this are strange for such a big shooting at a tourist location in US

Cartagena had a huge military like police presence. Everywhere Getsmani, the walled city. Yeah I was out all night there and never felt unsafe. But the beggars were annoying.

So much money there, progressive policies, and it is one of the dirtiest cities I have been to.
Austin is gross.
Trash dumped everywhere, especially in green areas, like parks.
