Three people were killed and another person was injured when part of a building collapsed Monday in west Houston, according to officials from the Houston Fire Department.

The collapse was reported at a construction site on Town and Country Boulevard in the area of City Centre near Interstate 10 and Beltway 8.

Building under construction, sounds similar to the Hard Rock incident.

Nola, atlanta, and Houston all have building collapse in same year. Are they hiring incompetent construction companies to build buildings?

Boy, has that corner of I-10 changed since the Sheraton was there and Beltway 8 was only a dream.

Calling it City Centre is a bit of a stretch.

Sorry for the workers and their families and friends.

that area of development is called City Centre. It has nothing to do with being the center of Houston. It's actually in the "Memorial City" area.

Well, quality craftmanship has declined in pretty much every aspect of our life. It's not hard to imagine that "they don't build buildings like they used to"

I come from a family of engineers and they constantly bitch about both the corners being cut these days, which includes young engineers not actually going out to the jobsites to learn, but rather just doing nothing but computer simulations.
