I was halfway expecting you to call it a shitty Chinese engineered 2824

With ETAs being restricted to swatch, do you expect non-swatch ETA powered stuff to increase in value in the future?

Broke,
Is it true that the Black Bay and Pellagos (with the ETA) both are COSC?

It already has. Swatch Group has used this move to drive up the prices of watches and watch movements. So now we are seeing micro and mid brands getting cases made, using Chinese movements and charging between $700-$1500 for a watch that really should cost around $400-$500

I just want a speedmaster pro. I'm broke with twins paying for grad school.

I keep going back to the Speedy myself, why can't they update it with a screw down crown and keep the size and looks the same?

I think all Tudor models are now. And it's a fabulous watch.

It's not a dive watch.

For a long time Marathon was one of the most underrated watches on the market. It was a steal at the prices of years ago.

Everyone seems to love the Speedy, which actually makes me NOT want to get one. I don't want what everyone else has.

I get it, but neither is my nighthawk and it has 200m WR.

I love the speedy, but for an everyday wear and 4k, I don't want to have to worry about taking it off when I give my daughter a bath.

What are your thoughts on the new releases from Basel World? I like the new in-house movement. The Black Bay Bronze was a bit of a shock from an aesthetic standpoint, but it's actually growing on me. Definitely pleased with the direction their moving in.

Go one month with checking peoples watches and count how many actually have an Omega or even specifically a speedy pro. Bet you count maybe MAYBE 1.

I have a medium diver automatic inbound right now. I went back and forth between it and the GSAR for about a month.

I see way more Rolexes than Speedys out there. I'm keeping an Omega Seamaster PO on the top of my list.

Broke, what's the going rate on a 1940s Breitling Chronomat in halfway decent shape and how impossible are they to find?

Thoughts on which watch? I'm upset with the entire watch industry in general since Swatch Group decided not to sell movements outside of the club. What it did was cause the major watch houses to have to produce inhouse movements which is driving up pricing to a level that the average consumer just can't afford to pay. With that said, they are really making some quality movements but the price they paid for the movements is a heavy price to pay for the industry as a whole. This is exactly why we are seeing kickstarter projects by the hundreds and micro manufacturers creating stuff.

I acually like them more than the big boys. I love Ocean7, Doxa, Prometheus, etc.

But I tell you what I do love is the Bulova Apollo reissue. If you love the Speedy this may be the watch for you
