Broke, what's the going rate on a 1940s Breitling Chronomat in halfway decent shape and how impossible are they to find?
All over the board from $1500-$6000. It's increasingly hard to find one that isn't a frankenwatch that has been cobbled together from various other watches.

Do you wear French cuffs?
Not every day but yes I do.

I pay attention and have only seen 2-3 speedys in the wild in my life.

That Hamilton looks great. I'm thinking about picking one up. Seems like a lot of watch for $350.

Dont post that crap here. You know everybody on the OT would only own a Tag or a Rolex.
Or the 17K Apple Watch.

I've been looking for a watch for a while and really like the Orient Mako in black ($119 on Amazon with rubber band). I don't like wearing metal bands becaus of my harry appendages so I'm looking at the one with a rubber band and I plan to order a leather nato band ($16) and do a swap. Tell me why this would be a bad idea or if I should pull the trigger.
absolutely! Orient makes great watches for the money. I have one as my main watch with no complaints whatsoever

I'm rocking an Orient Ray right now. Got it last December and it's been fantastic

That exists
My medium diver showed up today. Compared to the big arse reactor I've been wearing holy shite it's small.

Thoughts on which watch?
Sorry. Was referring to the Tudor releases. I'm strongly considering making the Black Bay Heritage released a few months back one of my next purchases once the market settles.

Which one? The bronze, dark, or 36?
I still like the black the best, with the red close behind.

I like the black bay blue the best. I heard they are actually quite large. This concerns me with a 6.5" wrist.

I feel that there is not enough hate in this thread. Here is the vintage piece I am wearing today. Let the hate flow through you.....

This is my every day wear right now but I'm looking for an old school Timex or something similar to give this one a rest. I was thinking of handing it down to my son - he's picked up the old man's affinity for watches.
