Maybe. I can't even spell the Jap name correctly.
I could've missed the lettering on back.
Very simple time piece in stainless with blue face. It's my everyday watch. Well I have to admit to wearing a Timex Iron Man too.

Those are nice as well. I just checked Amazon and the one I liked was about $150 on there, which is still almost double the two you posted. I much prefer a brown leather band than a black one, but I see where you are saying it's inexpensive to change them out.
You can get straps from any micro maker or from China on Ebay for like $10. And every strap makes the watch look different so it's like having 4 or 5 different watches.
I wear my Breitling Emergency on bracelet and rubber. Totally different looks. One dressy the other casual.

These days the JSAR isn't really considered big.
frick the trend though. I have a 6.75" wrist and much prefer stuff under 40mm

I think it's a T. That's the chronograph one isn't it? Looks sorta like this?:

No. It's not a chronograph.

That dude that was being sassy about the spelling sure is right though. It's Seiko.
Posted on 4/7/16 at 2:37 pm to Broke
Yep. That's my everyday time piece.

Here's my daily beater. A Hamilton Khaki Automatic 38mm. I own about 25 or so watches and this one actually keeps the best time. For an automatic, you won't find a better watch at the price. Can usually be had for $350-$500 depending on sales. Also, this watch has the highest quality strap on a watch I've ever owned. It's insanely comfortable.
If it's your style, I would say go for this. Although it's not as complex as some of my others (Rolex and Omega included), it keeps time almost or completely on par with those.
Also, I strongly urge you to stay away from Tag Heuer. Other than their vintage pieces, a large majority use an ETA movement, which is used in low-end automatics. I can't emphasize enough how little respect I have for the current state of Tag Heuer.

ETA (Edited to add, not the movement) I despise Tag and all they stand for.

A solid little workhorse.
Close to every single watch company that doesn't use an in house movement uses the ETA 2824 movement for their automatic watches. They are the standard, and that's a good, not bad thing. From my understanding, the more expensive watches that use the 2824 might use higher quality materials for the same design movement.

I don't like them either. I think they are kind of tacky.

For years companies like Breitling and Omega would buy an ETA movement and change things inhouse to get the movement they wanted.

You can frick with Broke about a lot of things including his ol lady's bad boob job. But you better know your watches if you're gonna come at him.

What's your feelings on the sw200?

Your Hamilton uses the same ETA movement my Hamilton uses. ETA ebauches cover a wide range from workhorse 2824 and 2892 to much more complicated movements. Breitling long used 2892's assembled in-house from selected ETA parts for COSC testing.

Selitta makes a good movement. It's an ETA 2824 movement. The reason you have or will see a lot of Selitta movements is because ETA has essentially stopped providing movements outside of the Swatch Group.

Dude ETA is owned by the Swatch Group. Most watches have either a chinese movement or ETA movement in them. And the ETA 2824 is one of the most widely used movements on the planet. A solid little workhorse. Your Hamilton uses an ETA

That's exactly the point I'm trying to make!
My $500 watch isn't marketed as a $3000 watch like Tag is. That's what I mean. You can't market your product as a BMW and have a Honda engine in it--which is what Tag does.

Right. They would change the bridge and maybe a few other things. But it was an ETA movement. Also Breitling used to use Valjoux movements which is also owned by the Swatch Group.

So what is your position on Breitling and Omega who used ETA movements and charge probably more than Tag for theirs?

I have a clock on my cell phone that is with me at all times. I'll pass.
