Citizen Eco-Drive diver that I bought my Dad on the second to last Father's Day he was alive. This was his daily beater from that day on.

Rolling with this Capri Watch that I picked up when I visited the Isle of Capri back in 2019. It's a cheap, quartz-powered fashion watch, but I've never seen another person wearing one. Oddly enough, it gets more compliments than almost every other watch in my collection. It's also extremely difficult to tell the time quickly lol.

I would go into a few of your local authorized dealers and just inquire about it. Some of the AD's near me have had a 36mm Explorer I available recently. There's a chance with the current market that you may get lucky and have little to no wait. If you're willing to soend retail, it's definitely worth asking.

I typically propress myself lately, but you'd have to find someone to lend you or rent you the tool.

I have used compression water heater adapters recently and I've had great results from them.

Haven't seen them at many Home Depots near me. Lowe's keeps the kits on the shelf. I prefer them to Sharkbite, but they're about the same. Like everyone else is saying, I would never put a Sharkbite or compression fitting into a closed wall.

Link for the compression kit I've used.

Is Rolex Authorized Service Actually Necessary? What’s a Fair Price?

I had my 1999 Sub serviced about 6 months ago at Aucoin Hart in Old Metairie. Cost was $900. It took about 10 weeks as the mainspring barrel was backordered and I had to wait my place in line. I thought about using New Orleans Watchmakers, but for peace of mind, it was worth the money to bring it to an authorized RSC.

Overall, they did an excellent job and the service and sales team were fantastic. Maybe they were so friendly because I geek out about every exhibition model in the store each time I stop in there lol

Because you can never have too much money.
Omega Speedmaster Professional on the wrist today.

Love the 126610LV. Thinking of upgrading my 16610 to one. I really like the new shade of green released this year. I may just go for a 126610LN, though. Either way, I'm sure I'll be waiting at least a year from my AD, if not longer.
Not in Kenner/Harahan area, but New Orleans Watchmakers does great work. It's in the quarter on Carondelet/Canal.

Daniel Savoie is Rolex Certified on North Causeway in Lee Michaels if you want AD factory certified. I tend to use Beau at the Bocage store in BR for convenience but either will take good care of you.

Great! I'll look into both of those options. Appreciate that!

I have never used an indy in NOLA so I can't really say but there are TONS of Rolex watchmakers all over the country. If you are willing to ship The Watch Doctor (Mark Sirianni) mentioned in the thread is good and is in a tiny town in butt frick nowhere in PA. Sorry, I don't have any NOLA watchmakers. Surely someone else has a rec for Rolex work in NOLA.

Thanks! If I can't find a good local recommendation I'll get in touch with the Watch Doctor since they seem to be reputable from this thread.
Obtuse, my Sub ref. 16610 is due for a service. It's getting that gritty feeling when I wind the crown, but otherwise keeps great time. The previous owner couldn't tell me the service history, which means there likely hasn't been any.

Any recommendations on who to use in the New Orleans area? I've had Aucoin Hart do some work on my Datejust a few years back. Not sure how backlogged they are. I've had New Orleans Watchmakers service a few as well, but none of my higher value watches. Just wasn't sure if you had any preferences, especially as far as using an AD versus an independent for service.

TIA

I just had Al's Tree Renoval remove a water oak at my house in Metairie last week. Very easy to do business with. Pricing was very fair too.

My mom has the 7500w Firman tri-fuel, but unfortunately I have the Generac GP6500, so not sure hooking up to my natural gas line is an option gor me.

I am, however, trying to prepare my mom's house for the hurricane season. I can't get a solid answer on this, so does anyone have a recommendation on a gas flex to go from the generator to the gas hookup? I haven't even been to find when size connection the generator has--1/2" or 3/4". Is there anything else I'll need to have purchased to get it running? Just want to make sure she's comfortable.

Also, has anyone found a decent rig for the Generac GP6500? I think I may just be out of luck.
Got tickets in Nashville in the lower floor section - row 20 - for $215 each. Was more than I would normally spend, but I've been wanting to see Frusciante live for 16 years now. Biggest regret of my concert-going life was missing him at Voodoo after Stadium Arcadium.

Super pumped. When you look at it, its $100 to see RHCP and $100 to see The Strokes back to back. Worth it in my opinion.
Chili Peppers with Frusciante and The Strokes? Good god, man. Looks like I'm buying plane tickets. Just need to pick one of the cities since no New Orleans.
Still can't get over how big of a fricking moron OP is LOL
