This is a great little watch. I got it for about $80 on Amazon a few years back. It's a Citizen Eco Drive, so no changing batteries. Doesn't come with the leather strap.

$123 on Amazon now.
I like it b/C it's not huge and it's a classic style.

quote:They're both good. I'd go with Seiko but IMO they do make a few ugly watches (I'm thinking of the really chunky divers). The SKX007 looks really good though. And the Grand Seiko is sexy.
Are Seiko's decent watches? I've tried wearing a watch a few times but usually quit after of couple months. My last was an Orvis with a canvas/leather strap that I liked, but got uncomfortable in the summer, so I stopped. I want to get a decent metal band watch, but don't want to spend a fortune on something that I may shelf after a couple months, but at the same time, I want something decent. Like $100-150ish, and Seiko's seem to generally be around this range (or less)
Eta: I've seen Citizens in this range too. Which is better: Citizen or Seiko
I would like to have a Citizen though. They make some very good watches

I can't get behind this big watch thing.
Even ones people consider "average" these days are traditionally really, really big.
I love my 38-42mm watches and nothing really bigger. I have one really nice 42mm watch, but its not bulky at all and I usually only wear it when I'm wearing a suit and its covered up a lot. My TAG is 41mm and my nicest watch I inherited (1972) is 39mm.

Seriously considering the middle one...

Anything bigger than 42 looks obnoxious on my arm.

I've had my Seiko divers chronograph since the late 2000s. Great looking watch and super accurate. I see no need for some overpriced crap like Tag or Rolex. Nobody cares if you burned a bunch money for no good reason.

Broke, do you like the turtle reissue? Seems a little bulky.
Yeah I like them but I also like bullhead watches to so I'm not the norm.

How you do like that perlon strap? What brand is it?

Same, the SKX is my sweet spot. The sub fits me great, when I feel like dropping the coin.
My first big watch purchase will either be a Speedy or a Tudor Black Bay. Although, I tried on the Tudor and they wear considerably larger than my 007.

Its very comfortable and dries very quickly, which is nice. I like the grey a lot.
I got it from "cheapestnatostrap" use code OMEGAFORUM for 20% off.
Only gripe is that's its a little light for a heavy watch, but since there are no set holes, you can adjust it easily.

so no changing batteries.
I'll say this again because I don't think people are listening when I say it. These are rechargeable batteries. They are powered via sunlight. But they will only hold so many charges so eventually (maybe soon, maybe way in the future), you will need a new battery. This is what the battery looks like:

Damn. That is a pretty good deal then.

Are you talking about Citizen? Citizen claims something like a 10-20 year life on their powercell.
