I think everyone who's had a leaky rear seal has seen a little smoke when they stopped at a red light. Would be aggravating in a relatively new truck, though.
My 2017 Z71 is a POS too, fwiw: electrical issues, replaced the AC condenser, intermittent window malfunction, touch screen gone bad, seat moves in turns, paint job is shite, transmission sucks (rough shifting, particularly on the downshift, and spongy power under load), lack of pickup on acceleration. My father in law's Ford has much better power, gas mileage, reliability, etc., and for a lower price.

They all suck now and it's all been done on purpose. The only verdict still out if the 3/4 ton gassers GM and Ford put out recently.

So, buy a vehicle, and sink thousands of dollars into it to make it dependable. What a deal.
