Also I've had several bad experiences with cops. I think the good outweigh the bad however. I'm not willing to lump all cops in with those jerks as I know there are also many good cops.

Mother frick, you, and people like you, are painfully stupid.
I have no innate love for cops. My father was a lawless sob and spent much of my youth serving time. I’ve been assaulted by police. There are some a-hole cops out there, as human nature and percentages would dictate. With cellphones everywhere, you see a couple instances a month, it seems. What you don’t see is the hundreds of thousands of interactions that go well, or all the times these guys run into dangerous situations where anyone with sense would do the opposite. But, you show your arse when you call these guys “snowflakes”. You must live in quite a bubble if you don’t understand how difficult their job is.
I condemn their actions in cases like George Floyd, where there was no clear and present danger and they just didn’t seem to gaf. But a thinking person has to be able to understand that these guys face life/death situations that 99.999% of us don’t have to deal with, so they have to make tough decisions in fractions of seconds. Some of those decisions can be second guessed to hell and back, but it’s usually comes down to a peice of shite human with no regard for the law or human life pushing a situation and forcing a split second decision. I don’t have a lot of sympathy when those types get hurt or killed because they forced a cop to make a quick decision.
Get out of the coffee shop and go ride along with cops on an inner-city beat one night. That might give you an up-close view of the real world and an appreciation of the guys that put their lives on the line in a job that starts around $40k/year.
