They could have shortened this list to simply say be professional and use common sense. If you do these 2 things at work then you wont have any problems.

There was this black kid in high school and he was shooting lights out in the gym during P.E. Nothing but net for about six or seven shots. I told him he should be playing for the Harlem Globetrotters. He got offended and started throwing down on me. We both got brought to the principals office. I got a time-out day and the other guy got expelled due to other trouble he was involved in.
This happened 35 years ago but I always remembered when at work not to joke around with someone that you don’t know. It’s better to just be courteous and friendly with new workers or people in general. This advice is for young people especially.

I've said this to my buddy (a brutha) at work as well as to a Mexican guy and a supervisor who was Indian from Jersey. (not American)
It became a running joke between all of us.

I work with mostly blacks and we all say the most racist shite all shift.
