I'm sure they are, in public at least. I would expect nothing less; people are going to do everything they can to protect the reputation of a recently deceased friend/relative, there's nothing wrong with that. Now whether it's the truth or not, that's a different story.

This was not random.

believe me, the guy who murdered him needs to die too, but obviously the people that know this young man and are close to the family arent going to come out and say "he was POS drug addict" especially after he is already gone.

So you think everyone that is addicted to drugs or say alcohol are POS?

There's more to this story than we all know here.
I feel more people were involve beside the person who was arrested.

At that point in their life yes they are bc normal addicts do everything in their power to get those drugs or alcohol. They put that number 1 over any other priority like family, job, friends etc. So yes most addicts are POS!

I have to agree with WigSplitta on this one. I've seen it with a family member, and he is right about them putting their drug of choice #1 in their life.

Not every single one - but, by exception, yeah, pretty much.

The callous disregard of the consequences, failure to get treatment before significant damage is done and the lashing out against people trying to help... Addicts are weak and they weaken all of their surrounding structures - family, friends, organizations (if they can remain gainfully employed), the healthcare system, and so on.

Whereas I have great sympathy for a person born with, say, Muscular Dystrophy (completely outside the person's control), as far as a person with a decade+ struggle with heroin? While I might have some human compassion for his/her current condition - it is, more or less, a long series of voluntary acts of weakness that brought them to this state.

Nope but i will say this...if he was a good kid he likely would have not been with a TPOS that ended up executing him. I doubt the killer was some upstanding citizen and generally good kids don't hang out with bad ones.

I heard the victim was fired from Dow. Anyone know why? Bust a drug test?

In addition to Boudreaux’s gun, Scott stole the victim’s wallet, car keys, cellphone and some drugs Boudreaux was carrying, Stassi said. The sheriff would not indicate the type of drugs or how much drugs and money were stolen.

I wonder how they know drugs were stolen. I mean, obviously if a body is found with no keys, phone, or wallet, then that is pretty evident it was a robbery. That being said, how did they know he had drugs on him beforehand to steal?

A fund has been set up for anyone interested to help the family with funeral expenses.

The killer may have admitted to stealing drugs, and had some in his possession when he was arrested. I'm sure the killer will also say "I was high when I did it, or we were both using and it got out of hand" and use that as a defense.

Anybody know what the drug of choice was? White lady, pills, meth, I'm assuming it's more than a little weed.

I don't mean this disrespectfully, but he attended Catholic High in Baton Rouge, family owned a boat and a camp, and they need a fund set up to pay for funeral expenses?

it is a pretty common thing for people to do this regardless of the family's financial status.

I don't know. It's coming all over my facebook feed and was just sharing if people wanted to help. I don't know about the family's situation at all.

I'd kill that motherfricker if that was my kin. He'd never sniff a jail cell.

Justice for blood belongs to the family.
