Not odd at all. Bubba asks him if he has been on a shrimp boat. Forrest says no, but he has been on a real big boat. A big boat is the opposite of a shrimp (little) boat.
Hmmm...

Maybe you’re right.

Possibly you think more like Forrest than do I so you were able to figure that out.

Love Forrest Gump, but Bachelor Party is a cinematic masterpiece.

No, I just have enough brains to know what synonyms and antonyms are.

Forrest Gump was in the movie theaters in 1984, albeit a month or more after its release, at the same time was
Jurassic Park
Pulp Fiction
The Shawshank Redemption
The Lion King

* PF and Shawshank were released on the same day, September 23,1984. JP had been in some theaters over a year.

1994, not 1984. Just a bit off.

Hanks is a good actor, and was fortunate enough to get some of the better roles available. A good movie story doesn't need great acting to be considered good.

One of the rare times the movie was better than the book.
He was an a-hole in the book. Jenny was an angel. Complete inversion of characters.

I did a double take there,my son was 11 years old and was born in 1983.haha.

It is a fantastic movie,it's cool how they incorporated historical figures into it.

There's some good humor in it if you can catch it.

I generally watch it when I catch it on the tube.

And about Hanks, when Bossum Buddies was on I told my wife that the blond headed dude would probably make it in acting, but that loud dark haired dude didn't have a chance.

Go figure.
