Paris is estimated at 15 percent, higher in the metro region.
France as a whole is now up to 10 percent.
I have employees in Europe and travel there regularly - have for the past decade. I believe the numbers as I've seen the change with my own eyes.

I’m not sure. I do try to remember those who were lost, those were hurt, the families and loved ones left behind and those who witnessed it personally and were scarred forever. Whatever the government does, whatever the politics, the stories from that day still exist and should be remembered.

As a metro Atlanta FF for a very long time I assure you it means something to us. Those brothers didn’t climb those stairs for nothing. They did it to rescue those in danger. Even failing because of collapse, they will always be remembered by me and people who do what I do.

Firstly, I hear you and thank all of you for what you do for all the rest of us, then and now.
That said, I believe you might have hi-lighted a point... we remember the heroes of that time, but not the reason for their necessary heroism. We remember the victims but not so much what caused their victimhood. We remember the survivors but forget what exactly it was they survived.
That's a problem, imo.

I was just at the Field Museum in Chicago, and only saw like two black families. We stayed in the financial district and saw almost no black people. No way Chicago's black population is 30%.

I certainly remember 9/11 every time I go through an airport. But beyond that all I see is a mass surrender to the ideals that those flying the planes would support.

I've been all over Paris as well. And if you didn't see large populations of muslims, you were either blind or stayed in the tourist areas.
