Thanks for your service.

Now without using Google, who was Pete Williams and what did he do?

Meh. It was a show of force to the rest of the world that we won the arms race. Was an opportunity for us to hone combined military tactics with modern weaponry as well. There were some real benefits to that war for the USA.

Yes it did. My ex girlfriends dad was the forward commander and told me very interesting stories about the logistical quagmire he encountered upon arriving in Riyahd. He was retired from the Army and working as a Saudi military consultant when we I was dating his daughter in 2003.

And Bush Senior FAILED to finished the job. THAT could have given us good willed in the Middle East, instead he gave the Iraqi government permission to fly and take out all the rebels.

We could have killed Saddam. It was better to have a bunch of crazy people follow one leader than have different factions of crazy folks doing all kinds of shite

I was there start to finish (USMC 1st ANGLICO) doing close air support with warthogs, using the MULE laser targeting system for days on end and just wreaking shite, we also got to do some naval gunfire with the Wisconsin's 16" guns that was some of the biggest explosions I've ever seen
hard to believe that was 25 yrs ago, just a punk kid telling

I remember being a young kid, my grandparents had the CNN vhs tape of the Desert Storm coverage.

I absoutely wore that video out, I was enthralled with the action, especially the nightvision portions.

I was staying in an Arab motel in Plaquemine. They were so excited telling us about the war starting. We didn't sleep very easy that night but it could have been the blood stains on the floor.

I remember seeing countless (well, countable, but a lot) of B-52s taking off from barksdale from the bus stop in 7th grade.

This happened every day, but they usually circled and landed. These kept flying and were pounding iraq that night.

Sry, had to look him up. Never heard of him. We didn't get to see those briefings. Matter of fact when everything went down our tv and radio was blacked out.
