I think people don't realize how conservative most federal court juries are.
They heard the evidence. I'm sure there is a lot more too it. If there is that much in punitives involved, Holland had to have a long string of some fricked up and negligent shite prior to this.

Isn't it a law that sliding doors must open at the speeds you are approaching? Even at a full sprint?
He was probably just testing that.

Can we put all trail lawyers on a cruise ship and set it ablaze?
If you mean trial lawyers, I sure hope you rethink your position. Without any trial lawyers they plaintiff's attorneys would run amok with the insurance companies.

Talk about an egg shell plaintiff. I don't know how the frick this guy has lived on this earth as long as he has if a little bump into a door completely shattered his health.

should get a piece of the lottery, as should the cameraman filming the whole "accident".

Character or accountability don't matter anymore. When you focus deep enough on the smallest portion of the law to make it feel justifiable you can't look up and see how ridiculous the claim is.

Not all lawyers are ambulance chasers.
My dad is a corporation litigation attorney who deals with anti-trust cases.
THE HORROR HE CAUSES SOCIETY!

Why $16.5 million in "punitive" damages? What did the company do wrong?
