I wonder if Allie’s family at least has some peace of mind knowing that BRPD now more closely reflects the community it serves than it did a few years ago.
A concerted effort has been made by Paul & Broome to make BRPD more diverse. This has been done by lowering standards and passing over more qualified individuals to ensure an unofficial hiring quota is met.
How effective has BRPD become with Paul at the helm?
The yearly homicide average of the four police chiefs prior to Paul:
48 - Pat Englade
65 - Jeff LeDuff
66 - DeWayne White
52 - Carl Dabadie
Then along comes Murphy Paul and his 21st century/best practices model of policing:
92 - Murphy Paul -(coming into 2022)
It should be noted that Broome ran off Dabadie and his average of 52 homicides a year only to hire a guy who has seen 76% more people murdered a year under his leadership

What an ignorant and hateful post. If you are not concerned with the violence we are currently dealing with, there's a good chance you're part of the crowd responsible for it. Either that or you sympathize with the criminals more than the victims. None of the people being victimized today are responsible for something that happened 200 years ago.

Obviously, I'm paraphrasing. I have neither the time nor the inclination to run a custom regression model. I'll post peer-reviewed studies when I have time (and figure out how to post links to studies from sites that want to charge money).
