I just gave you a list that only had two toyotas on it, more lexus branded than toyota branded.
Seems like you are the only one holding on to toyota being the sole reliable vehicle.
I could have told yall jeep was one of the worst.

Problematic Brands:
RAM, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, and Jeep consistently rank lower than average on reliability reports.

Hybrid and electric vehicles are starting to show up more often on the road. The Ford Maverick, Toyota Prius Prime, Lexus NX Hybrid, Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, and Kia EV6 all earn high marks for predicted reliability and fuel economy.
While hybrids make a good showing, electric vehicles are experiencing some growing pains. Even though they have simpler powertrains than gasoline-powered vehicles, EVs like the Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Chevrolet Bolt are rated lower because of battery-related issues.

I prob see more rangers running around. the old toyotas I would see are being towed by hispanics.
That’s because they are pulling them to Mexico and Central America to sell them. Because they last so long. The Mexicans, central, and South Americans are buying every Toyota truck they can find and taking them down there to use.
Seriously. Look it up.

Below is a comprehensive list of all the most recent 2022 J.D. Power Quality Award winners:
Ehhhhh. Be careful of JD Power. They rank Hyundai and Kia dramatically ahead of Honda in reliability.. even though the Theta and Theta II engines were absolute disasters that result in vast numbers of replacements and millions being recalled.
And after that there is another mass recall for engine fires.
I think ole JD Power is playing the “how many ads did you buy again?” game.

The gx550 can tow 8000 lbs.
GX gets the V6, Land Cruiser is 4-cylinder only.

I know there's some issues with the importing and with the registration. Are these able to be imported for off-hwy use? I'm just curious since he brought it up.

Not sure now, but knew guys years ago that purchased cars overseas and could not import them due to this issue. They even try to import them as an asset being in a car collection to not drive and could not do so.

Same... Everything I read said 2row only

2 row only because of the battery. At least they don’t use lithium batteries.

Y’all aren’t even posting the right model. Those pictures are the latest 70-series that we’ll never be blessed to have in the US.
This is the US model:
4cyl l, turbo hybrid. I like the GX better with the V6 twin turbo.

GX, LX, Tundra, Sequoia all share the V6 twin turbo.
This is the new GX:

Ehhhhh. Be careful of JD Power.
JD Power is useful in the correct context. JD Power Quality study is based on the first three months of ownership. JD Power Dependability is based on first three years of ownership. Neither paint a good picture of long term reliability.

I have a 2009 LX I am looking to get rid of until the new GX comes out. I am going to miss my hydraulic suspension

Yes. There are more than a few Hilux's working ranches down in S. TX however most are not late models and under federal highway prohibition.

I'm pretty sure that you can import them into the US temporarily, but I recall that after about a year of being stateside, US Customs could legally seize and crush the vehicle with no recourse from the owner or importer.
This exact same scenario played out with owners of illegally imported Land Rover Defenders having their vehicles destroyed several years back.
