Holy crap that is insane! I bought my current truck, a 2016 F-150 lariat for $48,000. I don’t get how people are making these payments (north of $1,200 in this example), especially now with new car interest rates at 5-6%. Looks like I’ll just be driving my current F-150, which I love, until the wheels fall off.

I been looking at Suburbans. For one fully equipped it's almost $90,000. It boggles my mind that regular working folk are paying $1500/month car notes for 72 months.

I'll never pay current truck prices. Either they come down or I'll be driving old beaters the rest of my life.

They won't come down. You are paying these high prices so they can build these multi billion EV plants and for research and design

Even worse...some of these folks are financing for 84 months or more.

Average US household income is about 70k. Average new vehicle price is around 45k. Average home is around 400k. It's all a house of cards.

Honestly I find $48k to be overpriced for a Lariat.

I bought a 2019 Lariat back in September of 2021 with 45k miles for $35k. It’s the nicest truck I’ve ever had other than a work truck, and I’ll never buy a new truck seeing prices the last year and a half.

The wife and I, unfortunately, are about to buy an suv. Can no longer fit in our current one with both car seats in the back.

There isn’t enough lube for my b-hole.

My maids’ sons were satisfied

It would be painful but maybe we need 14% interest rates again just to reset the bubble from the decade plus of free money and money printing.

No they weren't. I have a 2017 and I paid 32k for it. Maybe if you got every option on it but you were still getting 10k off msrp then too.
