They show this thing driving through the tundra and the wilderness, but with only a 350 mile range which I am sure drops down when running in 4x4 where the frick you gonna charge this thing in the desert. I don't see any solar panels fixed to it.

Cybertruck Tri-Motor - 69K with 500 miles of range
Hummer EV Tri-Motor - 113K with 350 miles of range
Unless you're just a GM homer then this isn't even close

They've said "over 350 miles" BTW.
It is always in four wheel drive. There are three electric motors on this truck (no engine or drive shaft). One powering the front axle, two powering the rear.

I thought Hummer went out of business. Guess not.

They were always owned by General Motors, which is still around.

Sorry, but I won't be getting any EV vehicle if it can be avoided in my lifetime. What happens when a hurricane comes through and knocks power out for days? As for Hummers, I have a 2007 H3. It pulls my little bateau nicely and is one of the best vehicles I've ever had when it comes to dropping into 4WD. Of course, this all depends upon the transmission which has totally sucked! j
It's paid for so I'm just gonna drive it until the wheels fall off, then I'll be looking for something that is NOT made by GM. (It breaks my heart to say that since my particular H3 was made in Shreveport and I like to support the state of Louisiana every chance I get.)

Where Tesla is killing it is the Model 3. Very few young people even bother with the BMW 3 series or Audi A4 anymore. They all seem to want a Tesla Model 3 now.
The Cybertruck is priced well, but it's also hideous. That's something the other Tesla products have never been before.

Gotta admit. The t-top version looks like it'd be a lot of fun to go beach cruising in. And it'd be quiet too, nothing to drown out the sound of the waves.

Hummer is saying that this will feature "over 350 miles of range".
Like a Tesla it will breakdown sitting in the garage.

Fast charging enables 100 miles of range with 10 minutes of charge.
That great when the nearest fast charging station is 200 miles away and the next is even further down the road.
People swooning over the torque numbers are generally poorly educated on all things mechanical too.

Long range EV's are definitely the future of automobiles. Less expensive models will be coming online for more consumers.
Telsa has already doing well with their Model 3.

It's built by General Motors, which has been around for 100 years. It's unlikely to have the "small company" problems that Tesla has. It also won't be built in California, so they don't have to use crappy water-based paint like Tesla products.
Tesla does support their vehicles pretty well. You have to admit that their buyers appear to be extremely satisfied. They didn't successfully become the world's leading EV manufacturer by accident.

It's 2020. Charging stations are all over the place, and you can certainly slow charge these things overnight at your house too.
Compatible charging stations:

Close. $113K.

The price isn’t that surprising. My mom just ordered a new Escalade... $115k. I’m not a car or truck person so I’ll never understand the “want” for high end vehicles.

It does, and that's okay by me.
I like the look of the FJ and hate that it's no longer produced.
