With 1,000 horsepower, I feel like these things are going to get in a lot of crashes.

The 0-60 time and the 1,000 HP is really of no use to 95% of the buyers who are interested. They will all say it is, but it is of no use in their real world life.

y'all hate on the cybertruck, but at least it looks different
After seeing the new Hummer, I‘ve concluded that a only a Tesla fanboy would buy a Cybertruck over this Hummer EV.
Ford is revealing an electric truck soon, likely under a new brand. THAT is also probably more appealing than the Cybertruck.

It won’t kickstart any actual EV hype until they get the price down of an EV truck.
Getting a decent priced EV truck will be similar to Apple getting into 5G network and it suddenly gets invested in and popularized even if it’s been around on Android for awhile.

Maybe, but there's gonna dudes out there that are gonna buy it b/c A) 1000hp B)Hummer..
I'm guessing all the hype the Tesla gets is the driving force behind it..

$113,000 unless you want to wait for the cheaper one. And they already have thousands of orders.

For people in LA and such where electric chargers are prevalent. Won’t be mainstream till joe blow in MS took a chance and their buddies see how easy it is to maintain and not worry about charging it.

The charging network is very extensive. A lot has changed in the past few years. The same chargers that Audi, BMW, and Chevy uses can charge this Hummer.
Unrelated - but General Motors is starting to transition into a modular EV platform company. They are partnering with Nikola, Honda, and others lately to provide these EV platforms with this new battery technology to a lot of other companies.
They recently announced that there will be at least two smaller Honda badged products on the same scalable EV platform that this Hummer uses.
The upcoming electric Nikola big rigs (already several hundred thousand in order) will also be using this GM EV platform, so apparently GM’s chassis can be enlarged and shrunken dependent on the application.

What kind of electric service is required to provide the equivalent energy in 10 minutes to move 6000 pounds 100 miles at highway speeds?
