I put in my reservation and am now getting calls from the dealer. They want me to put down $2K to reserve before 12/1.

This stinks of scarcity. Are any of you boys buying a Bronco? How do you plan to negotiate the price before committing?

Wait until 2022 if you want to negotiate and get a decent deal.

Early adopters pay full price generally. Sometimes more.

No negotiating on these right now...maybe next year...if you want to be the first to own one you'll have to pay the price

You're more brave than I am for buying a first year vehicle. I plan on waiting till 22 or 23 to get mine.

quite simply, you're not.

no supply + high demand = they charge what people are more than willing to pay. if you don't pay it, next in line.

You'll likely pay full MSRP and possibly a dealer markup fee.

Good luck negotiating on the hottest vehicle of 2021. If you don't pay full pop, the next person on the list will. If you want to negotiate, wait a year or two. Dealers are still getting over MSRP consistently on Telluride's.

From what I’ve read, the best option was to ask the dealer you were looking to reserve with if they were charging ADM, etc. I saw one or two on bronco6g offering a discount from invoice. I’m going to wait until the next MY before buying.

How am I negotiating for my 2021 Bronco? By waiting until 2025 and buying one used from a soccer mom who got bored with it.

If the Bronco is going to be anything like when the new gen Raptors came out a few years ago, you can forget negotiating and consider yourself extremely lucky if you can snag a pre-order at MSRP.

When Ford opened up ordering on the Raptor, most dealerships got very few allotments to order at first. And you probably weren't getting one of those allotments unless you were either a long term repeat customer or were willing to pay $10K over sticker. If you wanted a "deal" you were going to have to wait a year or more for the demand to die down and supply to catch up.

I'm just going to use my USAA buying service price...and hope to get one of those sweet 0% for 84 month financing deals.

Did you already pay the fee for the reservation? It's like a hundred bucks or something.

paid $100 for the initial reservation. Havent paid the $2K.

Seems my questions have been answered pretty quickly.

I am going through a mid life crisis and willing to cough up the money

I did the same but haven't been asked to fork over more money.

Why would anyone buy the first model year of a vehicle ? Let them figure out the problems and fix them.
