2020 Census Form - Too Many Questions?

I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve completed a census form. It seems to ask for a good bit of info. Do they normally want the names, birthdays and specific ethnic info of everyone on your house?
I just put “wife”, ”kid1”, “kid2” etc for names and 4/1/2020 for all bdays.
Am I being paranoid or is the census bureau being kinda nosey?

If you put White as your race, it'll still make you list a nationality (English, Irish, etc).

That’s what I remembered but it’s been a really long time since I filled it out.
The mailer was addressed to “resident” and directed me to an online form (which was part of the census bureau website).
Just seemed weird to be asking for all of that. Maybe I’m a little on edge. Who knows

Your kids haven’t been born yet? It’s better to not fill out the survey if you are going to fill it out incorrectly

The website tells you that 4/1/2020 is the date that you put in if you don’t have bday’s.

Well, I’ve actually considered re-naming my kids so their names correspond with their birth order. 1of4, 2of4...kind of like the Borg from Star Trek.
So it’s pretty accurate actually.
