Yeah, IDGAF about them anymore. I hope they all catch fire and people stop buying Ford trucks forever
what the hell happened, man?...

I would also guess leaking fuel injectors, Washed out cylinders, scored cylinder liners, high oil consumption, lack of compression...... The beginning of the end.... Get a new truck...

What didn't. After about $27k in repairs, I finally unloaded it on this trucker from Mississippi. Was one of the happiest days of my life

I traded mine in on the first problem...had 200k miles though
Eta: but I bought another one

Our fire department has two f250s with the 6.4 and both of them have this problem. Both under 30000miles.
We took them to ford and ford said to change the oil every 1000 miles... frick those trucks.

Won't be any trouble if you keep trading in when the warranty gets close to the end.
My buddy has had 2 6.7's crap out on him in a week. $8k repairs.

Whatever you do, don't take it to Coy's.

Ask your uncle Rick to come take a look at it

I think he might have gotten banned. Hard to believe that username slipped by so he could post in a thread with the exact title as his username

what were the issues?
Posted on 10/2/14 at 1:38 pm to rjo_lsu
What were the OBD codes? Diesel injectors can stick at the spool valve, especially with the ULSD and ever increasing rail pressures that manufacturers making. It's actually a very simple fix if that's the issue. If it's an o-ring that is also a pretty simple fix but requires a bit more patience and tolerance for bruised fingers.

Grenaded fuel pumps. Ford blamed both on water in fuel. He managed to get one warrantied but not the other one.

Hmm.
Ford is full of BS. There isn't that much watered fuel going around.
ETA: are in these in a 250? Or 350+ ?

To answer your question though, I think that engine may have an oil lubed high pressure fuel pump. "
He never asked if it had "an oil lubed high pressure fuel pump"

They say there is that much in ULSD
On the 6.7's Ford said to drain the filter module monthly to rid it of water. I am sure most people dont do that
Plus Ford made the fuel system from a mild steel I believe and then the water in the fuel pits everything. Over time it causes the pump to go out. I think the entire system has to be changed to the tune of about $7K
Ford says not their fault there is water in the diesel
But it is their fault they used materials that could not hold up to current diesel specs
