That radio chatter is why I didn't get my pilots license. I was with a friend once when he was trying to land on the wrong runway while a plane was taking off.

Have a friend who is a pilot and have ridden with him a couple of times. This scenario was my biggest fear.

I had to take a shite in the middle of that , but I couldn’t stop listening! Man, that was intense. Good thing the pilot was a supremely confident guy....most would have crumbled under that kind of pressure.

That was super cool. Thank you for posting this. I can’t imagine the responsibility Doug must’ve felt with his and his family’s lives in his hands while he was only slightly confident he could land them safely. Awesome story!
