Same here. Holy mother of god that was the best thing I have ever watched. Does anyone have any more information? Did he ever meet the people that helped him?

Same here, when his voice cracked on the radio after finally landing.

Ya you could kind of tell at the end, he didn't expect to land that plane smoothly. Once he got it to stop climbing and took controls, he seemed pretty confident up until he was getting to the airport.

Watched it all. When his voice cracks at the end I couldn't hold back the tears. That baw couldn't have handled that ANY BETTER

Damn that was good. I wouldn’t have any idea of what to do.

Much harder if you’ve never flown a plane.

You say that in regards to watching the video.
I would have had the same sentiment if I were in that plane...

That was awesome - "It ain't over till it's over friend."

Amazing. His previous experience on small planes definitely helped him you could tell.

Doug is quite the character. The following video with him and the AT controllers is also a good watch. Love the plaque he had made for them.

I liked when he said mam find me the widest and longest runway you can find. I wonder how his wife and daughters handled it.

I can't imagine having to do that with the wife and kids in the back.

I love how he went on to get all of his ratings and continued to fly the very same aircraft many more times.
