Louisiana about to be left behind again.

quote:

By mid-August, Harrah's Gulf Coast in Biloxi and Horseshoe Tunica, both in Mississippi, will begin taking on-premises sports bets. The company says it may expand the mobile betting app to other states besides New Jersey, if and when it makes financial sense to do so.

During that two-week period, they took in $16.4 million worth of sports bets.

Sounds great until you consider they're all going to burn in hell.

A new wave of bankruptcies, foreclosures, and suicides within 6 months. Every jabroni and his cousin thinks they know something about sports.

the mobile app is going to be completely necessary if they want people to switch from local book makers or offshore books

In MS you have to be at the casino to place a bet with a mobile betting app

Players will be permitted to wager on their mobile devices within the confines of the casino:

(d) The Executive Director shall ascertain and ensure, pursuant to rules and regulations issued by the commission to implement mobile gaming pursuant to this provision, that mobile gaming shall not extend outside of the property boundaries of the casino hotel facility authorized for gaming.

I think most of the MS casinos are aiming for September 1. I guess Harrah's sent a press release to NOLA.com so they only mentioned those two.

When I was at the beau in June they said sports betting would be open mid July. Not sure if they got it up and running yet or not. Haven’t been back since then.
