When I'm at most Waffle Houses I always feel uncomfortable and like I need to keep my head on a swivel. Last time I was in one it was in St. Rose mid day for lunch on a weekday. I would have thought it would be a fine time and location. Nope.

That's a Louisiana thing.

Waffle Houses where I live are perfectly fine.

I’m on the fence here. If it’s innocent people then investigate to the fullest. If it’s thug killing thugs…. Have a nice Monday

That’s the sketchiest one in town because it’s right next to that junkie motel, even worse than cedarcrest. Used to stop there all the time on my way home from getting off of nights but switched to the highland location after awhile

But Murphy Paul and SWB will still declare this the year of Peace in BR'r and praise how great of a job they are both doing on the crime problem in the city.

Can confirm that it’s also a Mississippi and Tennessee thing too.

Passing by there now. About a 8-10 sherif vehicles and crime tape to the gas station.

Honestly I question the sanity of anyone that goes to Waffle House before 11pm.

It’s not a true Waffle House experience unless you are sitting next to lonely old men making up fishing stories, morbidly obese long haul truck drivers, a couple of hood rats, and at least 2 meth heads. And every surface in the place must be sticky because it’s impossible to fully cleanse all surfaces of spilled syrup. And you are mildly worried that your catalytic converter gets stolen in the parking lot while you are inside.

Your head will be on a swivel but the food you order will awesome.

That said….you don’t expect a murder to happen outside but that does sometimes occur. It’s within the sphere of Waffle House possibilities.

I live in Mississippi. If someone so much as forgot to tip their server at my local waffle house it would be a scandle.

When I moved here it was a shock that waffle house was actually a legitimate place to eat and not just a place to become a crime victim.

The last Waffle House I went to was off Siwell Road outside Jackson.

Trust me….it’s every bit as sketchy and filthy as other waffle houses.

Before 11 pm? It’s safer late at night? I don’t think you meant that.

There are at least 3 clean, safe Waffle Houses in the Baton Rouge area. Siegen ain’t one of them.

But I won’t tell you where the nice ones are. We want to keep them decent. That won’t happen if a bunch of OT’ers try to knuckle check each other in the parking lot.

Problem is if you don't go after the thugs for every crime they commit there's no guarantee their next victims won't be innocent bystanders.
