so was someone sitting in the backseat or was the driver's seat stereotypically reclined to that degree?
The windows are tinted, so they wouldn't have been able to see inside the vehicle at 3 am.

They wanted to make sure anyone and everyone in that car was dead.

I know your comment was being a smartass, but you don't shoot that area in the backseat bc you think someone is reclined. Look at the grouping of the bullets. Front seat and back seat concentration. I'd imagine they were shooting downward and at an angle. Probably from the front left side area of the car.

BR gonna BR. Incredible some posters try to make BR sound like a good place to live.

The pivot in my BR outlook in the last decade is nothing short of remarkable. I shudder to think how it will be in the next decade.

We just have to live through it somehow.

Jay's Donuts was right. I remember when they built that dump. It's actually marginally better now after the flood or seems to be.

God dude, Jay's fricking donuts was the GOAT. Best donuts and king cakes in south Louisiana. frick all the big name places. I miss going there on my way to school.

I talked to Jay one day when I found out he was selling it. I didn't know him except for being a customer. He would tell people it was because the road widening of Harrels ferry and O'Neal, which was partly true, but he also knew what St. Jean would do to his business if he tried to keep it there.

Dude seemed like a good dude. He was always welcoming and friendly and would talk when they weren't busy (which was usually only about 10 mins before close).

Didn't you grow up in the area? I may be thinking of a different poster though. I grew up around Jones Creek area. I can't lie, that area was great as a kid growing up.

I can't remember the name of the bike place off O'Neal, but before they developed behind it, they had a dirt bmx track. Used to go there almost every day until I took about a half inch out my shin. Fun times. That's also when I realized I was too tall to bmx and should stick with basketball. Getting your shin dug in will teach you not to do whatever led to that very quickly.

Anyways, I know I talk shite about Louisiana, mostly just having fun, but when I look back on my childhood in LA, it was a great experience.

The Waffle House on Highland, close to Santa Maria there was a drive-by that happened a few years. Some hoodrats were shot in the parking lot, more than likely a targeted hit.

Didn't it close after the flood for a good amount of time? Did they ever reopen?

I used to get weed from a dude in there. Saw some crazy shite in those apartments.

Something kind of funny I saw that I can share here... They had a white dude in a truck just leaving from getting dope and another one in a car in a parking spot also leaving the same place. The guy in the truck is driving and coming up behind the car. Have no clue what the car was doing, but he's in reverse and floors his car. Boom, fairly bad accident considering they were in a parking lot in apartments. Both of their vehicles we're fricked up fairly bad.

These 2 frickers get out, realize they're both holding and say frick it, don't exchange info and both drive off. Truck leaking all kind of fluid and the car's rear driver's side tire was wobbling. Can't imagine either made it too far.

Yeah they pretty much rebuilt the entire place and only like 25% of the units are rent controlled now I believe.

I went back there a year ago or so and it didn't seem nearly as bad.

I counted more than 30 bullet holes and they also blew out 4 or 5 windows of the Waffle House.
I'd guess they were spraying and praying with a full auto.

Anyone know if the new WH on Staring is good or sketch? It’s obviously close to Gardere and some other bad neighborhoods at the end of Staring, but it’s nice and new and tends to have decent looking cars in front of it

I only go there before noon but I've never seen anything sketchy there.

Rad Cycles?

Loved Jays. I would go there daily to pick up his donations for local shelters.
