Not sure the race of owners of the places who were buying the cards/food stamps in that sting, but around here, it's always Middle Eastern dudes who own the shite stores who pay pennies on the dollars for their cards.
It's funny, because one gets busted, then it seems like his brother will open up a new shite store, right down the street, and he's caught by fbi month later.

The store owners who get busted in this area seem to usually be middle eastern as well.
I haven't seen any sting operations for mobile retailers around here, but I'd be willing to bet most aren't legitimate, regardless of race.

Serious question, how do they issue Louisiana purchase cards? One per person or household? I was at the grocery store the other day, the unique lady in front of me in line was making groceries with her LP card, well it got declined or whatever, so she goes I swiped the wrong one. Then opens up her purse, pulls out another LP card for what looked like a bunch of LP cards then completed her task of making groceries. It just didn’t seem like that was a legit.

In a nut shell. It’s easier to turn a blind eye to the bullshite lies. Management didn’t want to deal with complaints so they tried to force me to be lazy and push paper. An honest person that actually needed assistance would find it difficult to get it.

Instead of reforming the food stamp program so this shite can’t happen, there’ll just be stings like this which never make a dent in the fraud. SNAP is wanted by both the points and the food lobby so it’ll never go back to the way it once was.
