Article mentioned a serious head wound. Prob thought she was dead and then lit up her and the car.

The article tells you that her father works for the sheriff's dept. in Courtland, MS or Panola Co, MS
A Google search for Panola County, MS leads you to her father. Are you following this? The son has the same name as the father. Simple searches lead to the following.
Reverse the address and you get Ben's diesel shop.
It's not that difficult. I'm not an OT detective, I can just put 2 and 2 together.
