Daddy is a mechanic for the Sheriffs office. I'm guessing while locked up in county he became a trustee and worked on the patrol cars. After he was released and they were paying a boatload of money to maintain the fleet. Daddy gets a call to be their mechanic for about $10 an hour.

I just said "tip their cap". I know day to day the Mexicans are ruthless. Be headings and hanging the disemboweled in public. Kidnapping school buses of kids. Shooting up drug treatment centers to persuade junkies to not get help. It's the fricking Wild West over there.

Jessica's brother seems to have also served time. The chatter on social media from people that knew her said a week before she died her brother roughed her up.
They also said that the daddy skated a murder charge a while back.
The Panola jailhouse seems to let their inmates use drugs and have cell phones if the pictures are to be believed.
