An 18-year-old Baton Rouge man has been charged with second degree murder after he intentionally caused a crash at the intersection of Siegen Lane and Perkins Road in Baton Rouge, according to Louisiana State Police.

The crash occurred just before 10 p.m. Monday.

Jack Jordan, of Baton Rouge, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with second degree murder. Stephanie Payne, 51, of Greenwell Springs was killed as a result of her injuries sustained from the crash. Her vehicle was engulfed in flames.

LSP says Jordan intentionally rammed into the back of Payne's vehicle. If he isn’t gay, he’s about to be

This story would be better if he was 19 years old

He has the eyes of someone I would look at in court and automatically think he did it.

Maybe legally he's a man.

Somewhere his (probably absentee) father should be beaten too.

How fast was he going? I’d like to know why her car caught on fire.

I used to think this also but over the years I’ve seen really good dads with kids that were just no good

Your point is admitted but statistically my theory probably is correct.

What kind of rage must it take for a freaking 18 year old to do something so horrible?

I'd like to know why he intentionally rammed her. Road rage? Something personal?

Saw this on Siegen at about 10:45PM last night. Police lit flares and cut off that entire part of Siegen and Perkins. There were like 20 policemen there.

He looks like he has the crazy eyes. I hope this wasn’t random but there has to be more to the story. RIP to the victim.

What's odd about the story is they knew he intentionally did it. But they do not know why he intentionally did it.

Something just doesn't add up there. Maybe he got out the car and told the police that he did it on purpose?

I found him on Facebook. He’s a Dunham grad & seems to be from an affluent, loving family. This is so messed up. I can’t begin to imagine how you come to terms with your child doing something so horrific.

Stephanie had endured the loss of her oldest daughter in 2016 (who was a senior in college). I feel horrible for this family, they are wonderful people.
