Death penalty should exist for only cases like this where there is no doubt and the crime is above and beyond heinous.
There are way too many death penalty convictions of innocent people on flimsy evidence.
However, in this new theoretical process, the death penalty is also immediate. No appeals, nothing. They bring you out back and end it. Bullet to this guys dome on national television.

I'll never understand in certain cases (like this one) why anyone would have a problem with the death penalty or why it shouldn't be carried out immediately for all to see.
I think it's because of so many SWJ's drowning in white guilt, that refuse to blame the killer, and instead, blame society, and his circumstances for the crime. The killer isn't at fault. Society is at fault for failing the poor fella. So in their mind, you can't kill the innocent murderer.
This is the level of crazy many in our country have come to. And that number keeps increasing. There are many people on this site that will argue against the death penalty for this guy.

I disagree with the death penalty part. Jail doesn't seem to be a deterrent.
But DP is always a possibly when it comes to murder in several states and they know before committing these crimes that the DP is on the table. Seems like for most of these crimes, it's always life in prison though.
Hate to be the guy to say it, but many of these "young men" probably have the brain power of a potato. Poor education, if at all, poor parenting, if at all, probably born as a crack baby, etc etc. Add all those up and you have a recipe for a menace to society.

I don't understand how somebody can do that especially in front of her kids.
It's because there are a generation or two of people out there that have no fear of any repercussions from their actions. Years of coddling these animals have ingrained into their head that they can do whatever they want and no have to fear consequences because "it's not their fault" they don't understand how to function as a human being in society.
What should happen is they should be brutally and publicly tortured and executed on they very streets that they claim as their territory. Not as as any type of retribution because lets face it, those kids lives are destroyed and there is no changing that. No it should happen to serve as a warning to the rest of the animals that their behavior will not be tolerated. If you act line a rabid animal you will be treated as such.
But pussies in this country would rather be sheep and not have to admit that they are part of the problem for not standing up to this shite.

Meh, they know it's on the table, but also know it's RARELY ever carried out. And when it is, it's done so 20+ years later. And during that time, there's a probably 90% chance that some liberal court is going to overturn the penalty and convert it to life.
So although it's a possibility, in reality, the possibility of death is so slight, and the possibility of life in prison, and being "respected" as an OG in prison is almost certain, they go ahead and kill and take their chances.

This
A bullet in each knee, two in the gut and if they are still alive in an hour one to the head
Crime would be virtually nonexistent within one year

Honestly, I don't think any of these POS fricktards are ever thinking about the DP or being arrested when they commit crimes TBH. They have no fear of the law and no value for a human life. If we did execute these POS more often, maybe they would think about it.

I said maybe. Either way, the punishment would save taxpayers a lot of money.

Of course. It's just that with the stronger punishments, the crimes occur at a much lower rate. Nobody thinks that strong punishments will do away completely with crime. But using your own logic, check the statistics of the crime rates in the countries with the harsher punishments. They are lower. Why? Because even in their emotional rage, many people will consider the consequences of their behavior.
And for the ones that don't? Punish them because it's just, and as a society, we want to be just. It may not deter any crime. But if it brings justice? Then be just, and let the punishment fit the crime.

They get all these appeals ...To me if they're on Death Row..each appeal break a leg/arm whatever..untreated...so as long as he serves his living portion...he has to endure pain..

Jesus, save us from this increasing problem. If successful in his carjacking, what does he accomplish? A handful of $ for drugs or something? So unbelievable a person could even think about doing what he did.
It is what it is. Shame.
