My parents started to do this shite when I first went off to college. Every time I would come home they would try to give me projects to do, so you know what I did? I told them I wasn't going to come back if all I did was have to work. Is that kind of a dick move, yeah, but I was 18 and they realized that.
You sound like a guy that still tries to control his now young adult son so he's giving you the metaphorical finger. If you'd lighten up and just enjoy your limited time from him he probably wouldn't be an a-hole.

Made a 3.25 and went to 4;45 workouts for a semester..I built some discipline..but gets home and is a complete arse

Mine was an a-hole too. But around 23-23 he turned a corner. I’m now his hero instead of an a-hole. Bonus is he’s a good young man now.

1. He is young and stupid and will grow out of it if you have put some effort into raising him right.
2. You are not his real dad anyway. You can cut him off any time with no guilt. Your wife will not say shite because she doesn't want to get into who his real father is, if she knows.
Also, why did the 4;45 the 8k on bottoming out when he got the 3.25? It seems 4k would plenty but you gotta check the ohms and shite. Check for one on Gregslist. They may say firm but whomp some cash down... You've seent it before.
