As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to the realization that fireworks are only good for wasting money and scaring my dog.

Just showed this to my kids. And I said the same thing. He was probably lighting and throwing the mortar balls. It's incredibly dangerous but it's also incredibly common teen behavior.
Thanks for the post. My kids are terrified of fireworks now and will be more careful today.
