Yep. People get settled in life and stop giving a damn about things they did out of college. You develop a whole different perspective at 36-45 than you had at 25.

And there are tons of them who are not.
One is not like the other.

That's their fault for not utilizing the almighty power of "The Will."

Some of you act like you are millionaires and are able to hit up Bora Bora while living in your 20 million dollar NYC penthouse. Instead you are working a meaningless job, watching Netflix at night, going to Sonic, and going to Panama City Florida for vacations. No need to ruin this lavish lifestyle with a kid.
This may come as a shock to you but there are a few tiers between "$20M NYC penthouse" and "alone, poor and eating at Sonic." Also, your concept money/travel leads me to believe that your idea of a "vacation" is Disney World.
My wife and I are both 29 and 30, with no kids, have a nice place in a nice city, and make enough money that in the past 3-4 years we've traveled to more places than most of the Disney Crew will travel their entire lives.
You're living the vanilla life your grandparents lived. It's cool if that's your thing. But it wasn't for me.

Randy and I are way too young to even think about that
Have one, yes. But you're never too young to think about it. Whether it's in the next 10 or 20 year, all I can tell you is that if he decides to have a child, the first time you hold that baby, your life will change again. Forever. And the first time that little baby looks up at you, and smiles from ear to ear when they recognize your face? You'll be addicted.
And the best part is, you don't have to worry for the next 18 years about their grades, friends, making decisions, discipline, etc., etc., etc. Just joy of loving them.

This is a thread for people who don’t get laid to justify why they don’t get laid

Some of the kidless folks I know dont do any of things listed in the article. They work and go home and watch TV like everybody else. I dont know many kidless folks that spontaneously travel, even though the could.
Also the articles always act like kids dont grow up. The sleep less nights last at most a couple years. Changing diapers last a couple years.
Hell by around 12 they are ready to do sleep overs with friends and give you a free night.
When they are 15-18 they dont want to be around you all the time, they want to be with friends. By 18ish they are gone.
Anyways there is nothing in the world I would trade for spending time and raising my son. No number of one night stands, trips, extra money, free time, would make me as happy as the unconditional love you share with your children.
Yep. I feel the exact same way. It's pretty silly to think someone who's never held their own child is any kind of authority on what it's like with kids. People with kids know what it's like to not have them around and only the shittiest people in the world regret having their kids.
We waited until our late 30's to have our 2 and I wish we did it about 5 years earlier. I wonder if the writer of that article understands that if her parents felt that way she wouldn't be around to express these feelings and enjoy those things in life?

Honestly it’s not even fair to use the phrase “happy” when referring to the joy your child brings you. I was happy to get a raise, happy to see my team win, happy to play golf last weekend... The relationship and love shared between you and your child is something beyond any other feeling I’ve ever had.

How so? Why does a person not doing something they don’t want to do = narcissism?

That's about the age that I noticed a change in myself. My wife and I are blessed to make a pretty comfortable living financially.
We could afford a much bigger house, more expensive vehicles etc (even with a kid). I just don't care about that crap as much anymore.

Clickbait? How dare you
There are a lot of bad parents out there. I'm just trying to make the world a better place by offering practical advice. Don't pretend that you don't agree with some/many of my thoughts on parenting.

Having a child has changed my life and motivated me to push myself. You don’t realize the depths you would go to, for your child. I feel bad for those don’t want or can’t have children.

I’m not surprised someone with the last name “Sandler” wrote an article telling white people to not have kids
