Dry thoroughly

This is what worked for me. Not just with a towel. Use a blow dryer on the hottest setting you can stand and hit them puppies til they’re crispy. Then apply the meds (lamisil probably worked the quickest of the OTC options).

You have a fungus infection. Get a Lamisil scrip from your doctor.

Same issue, here’s how I stopped mine. When you shower, don’t wash your feet. They are clean because of gravity. Any extra cleaning will kill the culture of bacteria that fights it. Once I stopped doing that, my frequent and painful athletes foot turned to rare.

I had athlete's foot twice.. That shite was a nightmare.. And the stink was horrible.. There was some stuff that I got at K&B that was in a little brown spray bottle. I don't remember the name but the shite burned. It looks like Lotrimin is the suggested spray according to the internet..

Clorox and water

This is a good answer, but it's incomplete. I had it for 6 years in Okinawa. Need to take it a step further. You have to apply bleach to all your socks and shoes and let let them sit over a weekend. Suffered for 6 years all to end it in less than a week.

Yeah, it’s a fungus and there are some good treatments for it listed in the thread, but other things to consider are the type shoes and socks you wear to trap moisture , and if you are pre-diabetic. Sometimes, a low carb diet with some fasting intervals each week can fix fungal/yeast infections, esp chronic ones….

I’ll usually get if I’ve been playing soccer and it’s wet. Cus my socks and feet get all wet.

I just use that spray on tenactin. It leaves your foot coated like you powdered them but it’s not all clumpy.

Usually goes away within a couple of days and relieves the itching sensation.

Part of your problem. Moisture allows the fungus to thrive.

Had it as a teenager.

One summer during high school I got a job pressure washing an old building. Turns out standing for hours in soapy (weak Clorox-water solution) puddles can absolutely hurt and burn your skin. But it also knocks athletes feet out.
