Well, it's the ocean. It is kind of where we keep the sharks and stuff.

I’m 500 yards down the beach from his hotel right now. Didn’t seem to be too much fuss afterwards. The story is too ambiguous.

Go east where the water isn’t brown and you would have seen if it was a shark.

Anyone who believes this and thinks its newsworthy is an idiot. Being nipped by an extremely small shark isn’t newsworthy, and it may not be one either. This story may as well be “local teenager stung by wasp”.

I have a home in Florida and spend a good portion of the year out there, the sharks are there and they always have been. When conditions allow i usually paddle board 5+ miles each morning and almost always see a shark or 5. Rarely do they come into the shallows but even then, they are not looking for humans.

Yep. They are not "man-eaters".

People for whatever reason are panicking.

Sharks are always there. People should just use common sense.

Dont go out alone in the mornings or evenings, don't wear shiny objects, if you see one don't start panicking and splash the frick out of everything, and dont fricking swim when you have a wound.

That and diving birds are a pretty good indicator of a predator in the area. I avoid the water when I see those signs

Yeah and an oddly calm and smooth patch surrounded by otherwise choppy water....avoid that bait slick.

I don't think it is the shark's fault! I have spent several weeks "quarantined" at the beach Mecca called Orange Beach. I think this is a result of Mee Maw's policies, Coach Cigar's supporters, the new Rouses Mongolian Grill, FloraBama's cancellation of the Mifss Fire Cracker, the long lines to get into Waffle House, No 4th of July Fireworks, Bubba's because they named a restaurant Bubbas!, those new turn lane things that make me stay in the turn lane for 2 days with my blinkers on, Pappa Rocco's beer is kinda cold but he hours are ... and a few other fudged up things. If somebody catches that shark.....I'll grill it for you! Someone said get a burger at the Keg...Uh NO...try the steak at Dollar General
