I agree.
Greg Norman designed the course. I would have done a few things different, but I really don't even play golf
As you can tell, I enjoyed the water slide.
My girlfriend enjoyed the Pool and even got in some yoga.
I told her, we're on vacation, skip the run, she wasn't having it.
Tell Maria LaBR4 sent you, first 2 drinks on the house.
The Grand River Suite looked to provide adequate space
However, we settled on the King Room w/ a Balcony

15 year is crystal. My 15 year was a few months ago, I got her crystal in the form of a brand new iPhone (I know, I am the romantic).
She loved it

If I lived within driving distance of Gonzales, I would take my wife to Bernadette's Restaurant.

Ace Hotel or Ritz in Nola. You really would never have to leave the hotel for what you want to do and the food trumps what you would find in Laffy or BR

Take her to Nottoway Plantation for a night or two. You can actually book a room in the plantation home or they have the caretakers cottage and bungalows.
They have a great restaurant in the plantation home for dinner.
Two and a half hour drive from Alexandria. Or take her to one of the plantations in St. Francisville. They have a couple of them with accommodations.
Nottoway Plantation
And as an added bonus, you can play "Slave master and slave" at bed time. "Oh please Massa Mike, don't make me do this!"

The best gift you could give your wife is two nights away from the kids and a couple of Tiffany & Co. wine glasses, if she likes wine. They are crystal glass and aren’t too expensive, $25-$65 each.
Congratulations

Some one mentioned Nottoway Plantation, but Houmas House is 100x better

Indeed. Never really have to leave the resort.
Cibolo Moon is a good place inside hotel to dine at. Smores as night, telescopes on the golf course at night, water park and watch a movie at night in the lazy river, she can spa and he can golf. One of my favorite places to go.

Look up Magnolia Spa in Natchitoches.

Look OP, you don't need to be a OT baller here but come on man this is the first time in history someone has said Baton Rouge as a destination for their 15 year anniversary.
It's not easy, but plan 2 nights away with most of 3 days and get away to do some relaxing and enjoy your time together.

Man, take some money out of savings and take her to the Beau in Biloxi or one of the nice hotels and Nola (Windsor Court, Ritz, Roosevelt) and treat her to a nice meal.

Divorce papers. She’ll never forget that one.

Invite her sister over for a threesome.

nothing says 15 year anniversary celebration like a getaway night in Baton Rouge.

Woodhouse Day Spa in Baton Rouge is pretty nice if you’re just looking for a quick getaway in BR. They have couples packages.
