Agreed.

The way airlines screw passengers, they know all the tricks themselves.

this won't work in most garages because they have the weight sensor in the ground and won't give you a ticket by just walking up.

This is America, I have a feeling there are a lot of people that could trigger those sensors.

The tickets have to be reconciled. Tickets issued has to equal tickets redeemed plus current occupancy.

In a garage where this would work, where it's all automated and running 24/7, how are going to know there is an issue until it starts getting to a point where tickets issued is greater than the max occupancy. They probably have some level of corruptness factored into the price anyway, no one is going to bother checking unless it turns into a larger problem than one or two people doing it. It's just not worth the owners' time otherwise.

Yeah I'm calling bullshite on the airline purchases cheat. They've got wifi on board so I can't imagine running a credit card transaction is difficult.

It's not difficult but it is expensive.

I wouldn't be surprised if they only verify ISO/IEC 7812 formatting and then actually batch the numbers on the ground.

There are several large, well known websites that do this and you can use it to your advantage.

I have done the parking garage one simply because I lost my ticket and there was no attendant.

There is a garage in downtown Nashville where it can be done.

For research purposes, which garage?

How much state tax did you report on your Internet purchases this year?

Why would you have to report it? Sales tax is charged to all my internet purchases.

If you live in a busy city and want free parking for the day, go to a garage/mechanic that offers a free service such as tyre rotation or pressure check (many do), take the car to them early in the morning and say you can’t pick it up until the evening. Free parking for the day. ~ AntoneFinance -

I've done a variation of this...

It was a UGA football gameday in Athens, when parking on or near campus is pretty much impossible unless you shell out $30.

My girlfriend had gotten in fender bender a few days earlier and had a dent on her back bumper.

So we went to an auto repair place close to downtown/campus that morning and told them we wanted to drop it off for an estimate and that we'd be back before they closed.

When we returned..."hmmmm that much huh? Well thanks, we're gonna get another estimate somewhere else."

I've been telling people about the job application thing for years. Obviously don't cut and paste, but use the exact same key words they use in the posting, and the computer will let you by

In Louisiana, you have to self-report on Internet purchases on sites that don't charge or collect state sales tax.

Amazon is just one example.

And they now usually have internet in flight, so I doubt this usually works any more.

Bankruptcy won’t discharge student loans. Get 50k in credit, pay off student loans. make minimum payment for 6 months. Stop paying for 6 months. Let them go to collections. File for bankruptcy. Bankruptcy will cost you $2k.

I doubt this has ever happened like they claim it does. You need a decent income to get $50k in plain credit and if you have a job when filing for bankruptcy, they're not going to just discharge all of your obligations. They'll agree to a repayment number and garnish wages if necessary. Also, if they look at your credit history, which they probably will, and see that you had $50k in student loan obligations go off the books right when you add $50k in other credit, they'll cry foul.

We have people who wander the store, where I have a PTJ, looking for receipts. When they find one, they go locate the items on that receipt and attempt to return them for cash. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
