I think we found the real reason you're against this. Suck it up.

my nephew comes home with a different ring every week

My nephew got two rings this year, both times for coming out 2nd place.. Im dead serious. And one of those, they got in because the tournament started later than it was supposed to, like 3 hours later. There was a team that made it to the championship game and because of the time, most of the team had to leave for some reason so my nephew's team got to play... This was a 4 team tournament and 2nd place got a ring.

"Congrats! You get rings because one of 2 best teams couldn't play so because yall were not as bad as the last place team yall got to be the team who the team who made it to the championship game and didn't have to leave, got to 10 run rule".

And they were proud as hell they all got rings. This was 11 year olds.

Nobody in my family has had the mRNA shots and we spent 7 days in NYC over this past Thanksgiving break. Sounds like OP uncle travelball people were mis-informed unless it is specific to Cooperstown.

Lot of misinformation here.

Cooperstown is considered an overnight summer camp. The players and coaches stay in bunkhouses at the facility. Meals are provided in a cafeteria. Families stay in nearby hotels and come watch the games.

NYS requires up to date immunizations info to be provided for each player / camper. Like most states and schools / camps, there are some required shots. But the COVID vac is NOT on the required list.

In 2021, the camp, not the state, required campers / players to have a Covid vax. However that camp requirement is no longer in effect.

So laffytaffy’s nephew didn’t make it to the World Series after all? Shocked I tell you, shocked.

And it looks like that camp is several thousand dollars.

On a side note, quit sending your fricking kids out to busy street corners panhandling for travel ball funds.

I am shocked southerner parents tried to make it about politics. In an effort to “own the libs” they screwed over their kids.
Or didn’t want to admit they are cheap.

How many different world series are there

I think Dixie and Little League still have one per age group. My understanding is that USSSA has multiple, many of which are conveniently located in resort areas.
