Just a euphemism for not-white

damn when i was in junior high i filled an entire notebook with cartoons of german tanks with swastikas and american tanks with stars.
good lord. a kid from the 1970s/80s walks into school today with a pocketknife and drawings of tanks & swastiaks in a notebook would go to jail.

"aggravated harassment"
WTF is that?
WTF is that?

Aggravated harassment? Woof.

Only when it suits the purposes of the left. That’s the thing with “people of color” (which isn’t that essentially colored people? It would be like calling a Bloody Mary a “Mary of Blood”)
It can encompass whatever you need it to and exclude whoever you need it to based on your whims.

Asians are colored now?
They are denied the POC moniker when the discussion of college admissions comes up.
They are viewed simply as useful tools.

I can understand the intent of the law, if it is directed at a particular person. Is that the case here? Did they draw swatiskas and write "you're next Ms. Epstein"? There is absolutely no way that a law that targeted general speech could be remotely constitutional. This is extreme overreach by law enforcement and I hope the kids sue the frick out of the department/city.

Right? You can’t objectively tell me this logo doesn’t look a little cool.
Hell in video games and movies they base even the looks of some fantasy empires on Nazi motifs. You know why? They look cool, menacing. Powerful.
And they are. Even the words. “Stormtrooper” Blitzkrieg. Panzer.
They just sound cool, especially to teenage boys.

Arrest???
The appropriate response to a first offense is education. For a second and later offenses, a beat-down.

After the initial arrest, the Police Department’s chief of detectives, Dermot Shea, quickly took to Twitter to commend the “great job” accomplished by his colleagues in the hate-crimes unit he oversees and to say that “no matter the face of hate,” New York will exhibit “ZERO tolerance” for it.
In this case the face of hate was the face of two children of color — one black, the other Asian — who were 12 years old.
They system churns eating up liberty and pushing the borders for thought crimes. Big Brother has already been born.

Assault on free speech.
This hate crime stuff is just another tool to undermine American values.
If they took this to the SC, it'd get upheld just like the lady with her big middle finger Christmas lights decorations on her roof.
I can say almost anything I want as long as it does not present a threat to self or others. I can say Ilove/hate any racial, ethnic, religious group. I can paint a portrait of Jesus, Mary, Muhammed, Buddha, Krishna, etc. holding a bloody severed head. But a series of straight lines at right angles to one another? Oh no! off to jail!
