I have one that shoots 1200 fps. but I still think it would be pretty hard to kill someone with it. You'd have to hit a spot on the person just right, i would think.

I think some people here are confusing AirSoft with a pellet gun. Two completely different things.
And some pellet guns, the expensive ones, are designed for hunting and can easily kill small game. So the idea of killing a person with a shot in the right location isn't that much of a stretch.

Meh, the idea of killing someone with a pellet gun is still a pretty big stretch, even with a high-powered gun (1300 FPS) and heavy, pointed pellets (16 grains), you're still looking at roughly half the energy, in joules, of your typical .22lr round.
It is certainly plausible, but still incredibly unlikely.

They make pellet guns for big game, up to 50 cal. I doubt that was what was used, though.

Yeah, I was referring to more common rounds, although 16 grain pellets and 1300 FPS air rifles are still far from the norm.
