This is not unheard of. A temple shot can most certainly be fatal.

Most of the pellet guns out there could easily kill a person. Some of them get close to .22lr power, which is wayyyyyyyy more than enough to kill a man.

Years ago, I read about a kid who died after getting hit in the eye, so it definitely can happen. Basically, the BB shot was powerful enough to pass it through the ocular cavity and into his brain. Once something causes harm to one's brain, there is a chance that person may not survive.
