When I got recruited, there was this linebacker from Cecilia that scored an 8……for real. He ended up signing at Tulane. Lol.

Back in school a kid told everybody that he made a C on the ACT. He was pretty proud of it too

I'm not going through all of the posts again, but someone said the test was easier now. I have no idea - I got a 29 and had scholarships raining down on me - pretty much had a full ride academic though 9 years of school - so maybe there's some truth to that.

Yes. It’s an easier test now. I scored a 27 a long time ago and I would score in the 30s now.

0.0 GPA be damned!

I thought that all you had to do is is fill out your name and other info correctly to get a 14.

Like someone else said - just pick C on every question. How the frick does anyone get a 3 on the ACT? It's was (I assume it still is) multiple choice.

There is one of two reasons someone makes a 12.

- They just don't give a single frick about it.

- They are near retarded.

The first time I took it was when they just started letting people use a calculator.

I went in that bitch with no calculator and hung over. My dad had been sick and in an out of the hospital (mostly in) since my sophomore year in HS so my mom was with him and for the rest of my HS years I was on my own so I don't even think my parents even knew I was going take it so I barely gave a shite... And scored a 20. There were parts where I just didn't feel like working things out or reading, I would skim through or come up with an estimate in my head and guess from there.

With that said, some people are just not the best test takers. I hope that's the case for this young lad.

My best friend made a 14 on it and is currently making three times as much money as I am wearing a blue collar.

I would have had a dope superscore. I took it a couple of times and managed to score in the 30s in a different section everytime. I had like 33 in math in 9th grade but a 17 in reading comp. The next year I did the same thing but reverse.

dunno. I had to take it in 7th grade (for some reason) and made a 27 with no practice.

...Wait, is it possible I was the smartest person in Mississippi public schools during that time frame

That was your adjusted score by grade. My daughter did this same ACT program/test in 7th grade. Basically it's a curve based on how well you did considering the math and science you have not taken yet.

Evidently there were all kind of rumors back in the day when it came to the ACT. I remember someone telling me if you filled out C for every answer that is an automatic 18.

I was wondering about this because it seems like I hear about kids scoring in mid to upper 20s a lot more today than when I was in school.

There were smart kids who scored 24-26 and that was seen a really good and if someone scored a 30- 32 they were rare... 36. I don't know if I remember anyone I knew or knew of that got a 36.. But today... My niece got a 26 and took it the summer before her junior year and was disappointed because she was trying to a part of "the 30 club" or some shite. And I was thinking "yall have enough people who score 30 or higher to have a club?"

My wife, no pics, was Beta Club Pres, top 10 all that crap but couldn't take those hours long standardized tests for shite. She was like a 15 or some shite and actually had to take a no credit basic reading course in college because her ACT was so low. She breezed through college.

I’m pretty sure you could just bubble in straight ‘B’ and beat a 12
